Wednesday Word: 1 John 1:5-7

Today I wanted to give you some Scripture to meditate on, and seeing the alliteration between the words “Wednesday” and “Word” (as in the Word), I decided to make a new type of post. I might not carry it on, but for now, it gives me a good reason to show you passages I’ve been thinking about.

I started memorizing 1 John on Monday, and specifically working on the first chapter. Verses five through seven have been the main verses that stand out to me. Here they are:

This is the message we have heard from him and proclaim to you, that God is light, and in him is no darkness at all. If we say we have fellowship with him while we walk in darkness, we lie and do not practice the truth. But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus his Son cleanses us from all sin. (1 John 1:5-7, ESV)

I’ll see you on Friday with another post in the Spiritual Disciplines Series.
