Share it! A Challenge for You

Hello, brothers and sisters!

Last weekend, I had the opportunity to witness to someone I had never met, and it was… Awesome.

So, I was at a conference with my parents and some people from the church I go to, and we stayed at a hotel nearby. The conference had proven to be very informational and we all had a lot to talk about, so we sat in the lobby of this hotel and discussed things for hours. I don’t know what made me think of it (probably the Holy Spirit), but I just thought it would be neat to witness to one of the people who was working there, or (at the very least), just talk to them about their life or job. I asked someone if they wanted to do it with me, and they were open to the idea. So when I saw an oppurtunity, we went up and started to talk to a woman who was behind the desk. I noticed that she had some religious tattoos (the yin yang and the star of paganism) on her wrist, so I asked about them, and we ended up talking about religion. In the end, my partner presented the gospel. Now, the woman did not drop to her knees and cry out her need for Jesus. But she did hear it, and I hope that it made her think.

So here is my challenge for you: share the gospel! Witness to someone! It’s not the hardest thing in the world. Yes, it made me nervous, yes, I wish I would have said ______, and yes, there wasn’t an obvious result. But none of those are good reasons to disobey our Lord.

If you don’t really know how to evangelize, or you want some tips, here are some posts I wrote that might help:

Right here, right now, pray and ask God to give you a witnessing opportunity. Then take that opportunity when you see it. Whether it’s with a family member, a coworker, a friend, or even a stranger. You can do all things through Christ.
